I just got a big promotion at work. The only catch was that I needed to move to Chicago. Before I moved, I looked into lots of different things such as the cost of living, rental rates, etc. The move seemed to be the right choice for me so I went ahead with it. Now that I am here, I am researching my options for Auto Insurance in Chicago. I was paying higher rates where I lived in the Northeast already, but I was hoping that this would be an area where I could save myself some money.
I have contacted one company so far and the rates seems comparable to what I was paying before. I have decided to call around to a few other companies that offer Auto Insurance in Chicago to see if anyone offers a lower rate. I am also going to see if I can get a discount from any of the companies for the facts that I do not drive a lot - I can take public transportation to work and I have a good driving record. I am also willing to have an anti-theft device installed in my car if it will help me to lower my rates.
